Vamos Speak!

1. Introduction

Thank you for using Vamos Speak, a mobile application that helps you learn Spanish through conversations, role-plays, debates, and AI-based tutoring. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following data:

• Account data: your email address and password, or your account identifier if you sign in with Apple or Google
• Onboarding information: app language, learning goals, self-assessed level, preferred Spanish dialect, and daily practice goal
• Learning data: your progress, streaks, time spent learning, and vocabulary you save
• Subscription status (whether you have an active subscription – never your payment details)
• A push notification token, if you enable notifications

AI interaction content: the text you enter and the voice recordings you actively make when speaking with the AI tutor are not collected or stored by us. They remain on your device and are only processed in real time to generate the tutor's response (see Section 4).

We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking tools.

3. Use of Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalize your learning experience, including your preferred Spanish dialect
• Transcribe your speech and give you pronunciation and language feedback
• Save your progress and vocabulary
• Enable login, account management, and your subscription
• Send learning reminders, if you enable notifications

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Data Transmission and Processing

We use the following services to provide core functionality:

• Supabase – authentication, database, and secure backend hosting
• OpenAI – powers the AI conversations and speech features; OpenAI does not use this data to train its models
• RevenueCat – manages your subscription status; never receives your payment details
• OneSignal – delivers push notifications; location sharing is disabled
• Apple / Google – sign-in and payment processing via the App Store or Google Play

Your messages and voice recordings are shared with OpenAI only after you have given your explicit consent in the app, and only to generate the respective response. They are processed transiently and are not stored permanently by this service. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → AI & Data.

All data is transmitted encrypted (TLS), and access to your data in our database is protected by row-level security. Some providers process data in the United States; we only transmit the data necessary to provide the respective feature.

5. No Tracking or Analytics

We do not use tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any tracking technologies that collect user behavior.

6. No Third-Party Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except as required for providing core app functionality (as described above).

7. International Availability

Vamos Speak! is available in multiple languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Turkish, Russian, Hindi, and Indonesian.

8. In-App Purchases

We offer optional in-app purchases and subscriptions, processed exclusively via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never store or process your payment information ourselves – billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your personal data, as well as to object to or restrict certain processing (GDPR).

AI processing is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → AI & Data.

You can delete your account at any time directly in the app (Settings → Account). This removes your personal data from our systems.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, simply contact us.
